About the Opportunity

Conducting State of the Business phone engagements with advisors:

  • Interviewing advisors to obtain their feedback and respond appropriately

  • Identifying opportunities for advisors to leverage Commonwealth offerings, such as technology tools, operational efficiency resources, wealth management services, marketing resources, and the like

  • Providing walk-throughs of Commonwealth offerings and referring the advisor to a subject-matter expert when needed

  • Summarizing each engagement in writing to share pertinent details with a broad group of Commonwealth management and staff

Conducting practice management consultations:

  • Meeting with advisors via phone to address their introductory practice management issues

  • Building familiarity and expertise with consulting techniques and growing your knowledge across a broad range of business disciplines

Completing state-of-the-business projects as needed in conjunction with practice management consultant:

  • Maintaining a wiki to keep the Practice Management team abreast of new Commonwealth offerings

  • Developing and maintaining a State of the Business assessment tool to streamline engagements

  • Evaluating and administering tools to analyze qualitative data collected over time


  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services; broad internal (Commonwealth) experience is a plus

  • BA required; plans to acquire MBA in the future are desirable

  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 securities registration

  • An understanding of the financial services industry and the broker/dealer business

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent listening, customer service, and follow-up skills

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • An ability to creatively solve business problems

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships
