About the Opportunity

Does a fast-paced, process-oriented environment sound like just your thing? Is your attention to detail razor sharp? Can you multitask and keep up with several different workflows? First impressions are key, and the New Accounts department is where it all begins for our advisors and their clients. We are looking for a candidate with these qualities—and more—to be a member of our exciting team.
If you think you have what it takes, then let’s introduce ourselves.


  • Providing quality assurance for retirement and nonretirement new account applications, as well as advisory fee-based contracts, to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Establishing brokerage accounts via paper, upload, or fax for both existing and transitioning advisors
  • Managing and troubleshooting issues that arise with a client’s checkwriting and/or debit card accounts
  • Handling all advisor movement, including advisor ID changes, buy-sell agreements, advisor terminations, and change of broker/dealer forms
  • Processing a variety of account maintenance functions, such as dividend coding, beneficiary changes, power of attorney additions, consolidated statement requests, and so forth
  • Acting as a lifeline for our Service Center, handling some of the more difficult questions from advisors
  • Running numerous internal departmental audits to help reduce risk to Commonwealth
  • Working on various special projects that arise

  • Ability to meet goals, processing the expected number of cases each day
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including phone and e-mail etiquette
  • Ability to adapt to changing workflows and regulatory requirements
  • Availability to work overtime when needed
