  • Overview

    Our 14-person Enterprise Risk Management department is looking to bring on an analyst—someone who is detail oriented and organized, with excellent problem-solving abilities and at least a year of experience related to business insurance—to serve as the administrative resource for Commonwealth’s insurance portfolio. Your days will have you ensuring process flow documentation and improvements, managing claim documentation as needed, overseeing the renewal process for all policies, and working with Commonwealth’s advisors on specific requests. Reporting to the supervisor of enterprise risk, this position will also offer the opportunity to assist the team with other aspects of the risk management cycle.

     

    Key responsibilities

    • Administering transfer of risk for the firm
    • Completing insurance policy renewals throughout the year
    • Working with Vendor Management and Contract Management on certificate of insurance reviews
    • Scheduling meetings (annual and as needed) with Commonwealth’s insurance broker to understand policy coverage
    • Working with Contract Management on insurance contract language when needed
    • Serving as the point person if a claim needs to be filed
    • Ensuring that any changes in the policy are communicated and documentation is updated
    • Coordinating and leading on-site insurance visits
    • Completing case work for errors and omissions prior acts and tail coverage requests
    • Completing mailings for any new or expiring insurance coverage
    • Assisting the Risk Management team with activities associated with the risk management cycle 

    Core strengths

    • 1–3 years’ experience related to business insurance (e.g., commercial, workers’ compensation, insurance claims)
    • Ability to multitask
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities
