We are seeking a senior attorney who strives to apply his or her legal expertise while understanding the needs of the business to reach thoughtful decisions.

     

    Key responsibilities

    • Handling a broad range of corporate legal needs, including legal research, privacy and cybersecurity, ERISA matters, securities law, corporate governance, and regulatory matters
    • Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including customer agreements, contracts, vendor agreements, loan documents, and NDAs
    • Responding to inquiries from internal departments concerning trusts and estates, powers of attorney, subpoenas, and court documents
    • Drafting corporate governance documents, as needed
    • Advising members of the Commonwealth business departments
    • Acting as a liaison with Commonwealth’s Compliance group and assisting with implementing select policies and procedures

    Core strengths

    • JD from an accredited law school
    • 7+ years of relevant corporate experience
    • Experience in the financial services industry
    • Superb written and verbal communication skills
    • Must possess creative problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
