As a member of the Legal department, you will primarily be responsible for investigating matters involving possible financial exploitation of our senior and vulnerable clients. Changes in regulations relating to reporting of financial exploitation are dynamic, and the cases are very important to protecting investors, the firm, and its advisors. These investigations are often complex, and they require not only excellent problem-solving skills but also an ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as business partners, state and county Adult Protective Services agencies, law enforcement, and other financial institutions. Additionally, you may be called upon to provide guidance on handling matters for clients with diminished financial capacity.
