As our advisor brand manager, you will be working one-on-one with Commonwealth’s financial advisors, who are the nicest and among the most successful financial advisors in the industry. Reporting to the director of marketing, this job requires strong strategic thinking, insight, ideation, and communication skills.


    Key responsibilities

    • Developing an understanding of a financial advisor’s business environment and marketing strategy, creating a brand voice, and advising on content strategy
    • Serving as a voice of our financial advisors’ clients across marketing channels, including websites, social media, e-mail, and traditional marketing collateral
    • Collaborating with other project stakeholders to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approach
    • Writing and collaborating on creative project briefs that translate insights and providing inspiration for creative development
    • Identifying customer buyer journey and marketing strategy to help move prospects along
    • Conducting research, stakeholder interviews, and brainstorming sessions to support projects
    • Assembling strategic insights into presentation materials and presenting information to clients and internal stakeholders


    Core strengths

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline
    • 8–10 years of experience in marketing strategy and marketing communications
    • Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results oriented
    • Experience in the financial industry a plus
    • Strategic thinker; adept in articulating benefits and differentiators
    • Strong writing and communication skills
    • Cross-functional collaborator; ability to contribute in a team environment
    • Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects
    • A high-energy business partner with a positive attitude
    • Demonstrable domain knowledge, such as financial advisors’ business models and their clients’ behavior and expectations
    • Working knowledge and experience with marketing technology platforms, including marketing automation and online work management software
