    Reporting to the managing principal of human resources, you will serve as the diversity and inclusion leader, champion, change agent, and expert across Commonwealth. Your primary objective will be to build partnerships and relationships to influence and manage change in support of diversity and inclusion throughout Commonwealth. Secondly, you will also create diversity and inclusion initiatives across our growing organization. These initiatives will engage and impact each one of our employees. We want everyone in the Commonwealth community to bring his or her unique background and perspective to the table. The successful candidate will be a leader with who has experience and success to function as an advocate and confidant to our leadership and employees at all levels.

    Key responsibilities

    • Designing our diversity and inclusion strategy, goals, and operational roadmap along with senior leadership
    • Partnering with managers and HR business partners to discover ways to strengthen inclusion across the firm
    • Identifying and developing partnerships with outside speakers, experts, and other resources for diversity and inclusion program delivery
    • Serving as an advisor to firm management and staff, as well as with employee resource groups and affinity groups
    • Leading meetings with the Diversity and Inclusion committee
    • Collaborating with Human Resources to enhance and integrate diversity and inclusion into existing business processes and practices
    • Coordinating with Marketing on external and internal communications regarding diversity and inclusion
    • Benchmarking Commonwealth’s efforts and progress in diversity and inclusion leadership against best-in-class organizations
    • Monitoring the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion

    Core strengths

    • At least 8–10 years of diversity and inclusion experience or strongly related experience
    • A track record of influencing and partnering across an organization
    • Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and flexibility
    • Proven ability to make an impact and to collaborate with others
    • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to build and sustain positive relationships at all levels
    • Organizational skills with proven program management capabilities; ability to work on multiple key projects at a time
    • A strategic thinker with a thoughtful approach to decision making in a fast-moving environment
    • A passion for maintaining and further cultivating high-touch, high-culture workplaces
