    Do you have experience figuring out the best ways to bring people together and help them form deep relationships? Are you comfortable talking to new people—and passionate about fostering a sense of community wherever you go? We are looking to bring on a relationship builder and strategic thinker to do just that for our nationwide community of 1,900+ financial advisors.

     

    As we’ve grown over the years, our homegrown, organic sense of community among advisors has evolved. With this position, you will formalize a strategic approach to ensure that, as an organization, we continue to form community organically, but also to strengthen the sense of connectedness throughout the organization. We are looking to create a nourishing community at scale, while simultaneously encouraging and celebrating individual connections across our advisors, as well as between our advisors and the home office.

     

    In this role, you will be building upon what sets Commonwealth apart—a deep-seated sense of community and family-like connection—by creating new processesand connection points, as well as through live and digitally enabled experiences you help mastermind.  

     

    Key responsibilities

    • Identifying and analyzing advisor trends, advisor insights, and industry research to develop best-in-class community outreach initiatives
    • Developing a community outreach road map, prioritizing projects, and partnering with key departments to execute initiatives
    • Fostering idea-sharing and relationships throughout the advisor community by implementing additional networking tools and opportunities
    • Providing ideation guidance to our internal team to create more intimate experiences based on similar interests, business niche, business need, and region
    • Developing regional grassroots gatherings and activities among local advisors
    • Identifying and fostering growth and participation within Commonwealth microcommunities (women, next-gen, retirement, etc.)
    • Developing and maintaining strong advisor relationships by attending Commonwealth conferences and internal advisor-facing programs, as well as conducting office outreach to learn how to best foster a network of support within our firm

    • Experience with online networking and community connection tools
    • Enthusiastic, energetic, and personable demeanor; must have a great attitude and be customer-focused
    • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and written skills, including the ability to interact with all levels within and outside of the organization
    • Creative and innovative; a self-starter who generates ideas
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong follow-up and time management skills; able to juggle a variety of duties
    • A positive and adaptable approach to problem solving
    • A team player; respectful of other people’s time

     

    Additional skills and knowledge

    • 7+ years of experience engaging a community of like-minded individuals
    • 5+ years of proven experience in strategic roles, with experience managing across functions
    • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, online networking tools, and online research preferred
    • Some travel required
