  • Overview

The Transition department is responsible for ensuring that the entire change of broker/dealer process runs smoothly. As the face of Commonwealth, our department is in the business of making great first impressions that lead to lasting relationships. To accomplish this goal, we put together a dedicated Transition team—a consultant, operations specialist, and associate—to work with the new advisor’s office throughout the transition period.

As a transition consultant, you will work with the rest of your team to provide all the support and training an advisor needs to move his or her book of business to Commonwealth. Answering any questions that arise, you will act as a liaison between the advisor’s office and other internal departments.

We pride ourselves on providing indispensable customer service to all of our advisor offices, doing whatever it takes to answer questions, resolve problems, and maintain great relationships. One thing you will often hear us say is, “If we don’t know the answer to your question, we will get you to the right person who does.”

    • Collaborating with other departments and team members to facilitate a successful transition while providing indispensable service
    • Traveling to new advisors’ offices to provide training and support during their first 3–5 months
    • Educating new advisors and their staff on all areas of Commonwealth
    • Serving as a lead presenter, discussing all aspects of the transition process during prospective advisor home office visits
