  • Overview

    Are your relationship-building and organization skills top-notch? Do you have a few years of experience in financial services and want to get into sponsor relations? As an associate relationship manager, you will join our Sponsor Relations team to support our 29-plus core product sponsors with their marketing and sales initiatives.


    Key responsibilities 

    • Supporting Commonwealth’s core product sponsors with their marketing and sales initiatives for the mutual fund space
    • Assisting with Commonwealth’s conferences and regional events, working closely with our conference planners to manage sponsor participation
    • Managing several sections of our intranet to ensure that we are providing our advisors with timely sales ideas and marketing collateral
    • Driving internal sponsor initiatives, coordinating sponsor meetings with other internal business units, and supporting our analyst and product teams’ sponsor initiatives
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key account managers to drive business growth for our key partners
    • Building relationships with firms that are not on our core program but are interested in working with Commonwealth
    • Monitoring and developing business planning initiatives with core product sponsors, which will include conducting and analyzing territory reviews

    Core strengths 

    • 3+ years of experience in financial services
    • Strong analytical skills in data manipulation
    • FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations preferred; otherwise, will need to be obtained upon employment
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Exceptional organization, collaboration, and people skills
    • Direct experience working with internal or external wholesalers in an investment firm a plus
