Are you a natural when it comes to handling difficult situations in a professional manner? Can you adapt quickly to rules and procedures that are constantly changing? Are you able to work effectively alone and as part of a team?


We are looking for an energetic, hardworking individual—a superb problem solver with excellent communication skills—to join our fast-paced Trade Desk department. Each day, the Trade Desk is responsible for executing the purchase and sale of securities on behalf of our advisors’ clients, as well as for facilitating other investment transactions and answering market-related questions from the field.


Key responsibilities

  • Handling a wide variety of Trade Desk-related items, such as margin/house calls, trade corrections, and reorganization notices
  • Monitoring mutual fund breakpoints, excessive commission reports, and debit reports
  • Reconciling reports and communicating information to advisors and Commonwealth staff

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Additional skills and knowledge

  • At least 2 years of industry experience
  • Prior experience with FBSI (an NFS application)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration and margin experience preferred, but not required
