Overview

As an investment management analyst, you will join a seasoned team of professionals who manage Commonwealth’s turn-key investment management solution, Preferred Portfolio Services® Select. Members of the team oversee all aspects of investment research, security/asset selection, and trading for advisors who elect to partner with the program. Your 2–5 years of experience, industry knowledge, and technical expertise will be leveraged to help maintain our position as a solution of choice for advisors.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Providing advanced technical, consultative, and platform-based support on a variety of topics to advisors, clients, and internal staff
  • Responding to ad-hoc investment research requests in the areas of equity, fixed income, and alternative investments
  • Identifying and developing strategies to enhance and increase adoption of the platform
  • Designing solutions to address complex business issues and responding to the evolution of the industry as it relates to model-based platforms
  • Finding opportunities to share your expertise and thought leadership with others through training, written articles, and presentations at Commonwealth and industry events
  • Leading and participating in additional interdepartmental projects to move platform or enterprise initiatives forward
  • Upholding Commonwealth’s legacy of providing indispensable service

  • Intuitive thinker with the ability to piece multiple concepts together to resolve complex problems, assess opportunities, and see the big picture
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to help others
  • Ability to shift focus, as needed, while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • The aptitude to use a variety of systems, including FactSet, Bloomberg, Haver, and Morningstar Direct/Workstation

Additional skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration and progress toward industry designations (e.g., CFA®, CIMA®) is preferred
