We seek a top-notch onboarding operations specialist to add to our team, which supports new advisors and their staff during the pivotal time when they move their financial advisory firm to Commonwealth. Simply put, we are in the business of making great first impressions that lead to lasting relationships. 


The Transition Operations team serves as a liaison to every department, answering questions, resolving problems, and doing whatever it takes to facilitate the transition process. As an onboarding operations specialist, you will serve as a contact and resource to prospective and new advisors transitioning to Commonwealth.


Key responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary contact for new advisors regarding all operations-related issues
  • Providing comprehensive phone, virtual, and face-to-face education on Commonwealth’s systems to new advisors and their staff members
  • Working closely with teammates and other departments to facilitate a smooth and successful transition
  • Providing best practices for operations processing and procedures
  • Co-conducting presentations on the transition process to prospective advisors during home office and virtual visits
  • Traveling to new offices to assist in creating office efficiencies and providing hands-on training during an advisor’s first 3–5 months
  • Managing and leading departmental projects, as needed

Additional skills and knowledge

  • 1–2 years’ experience in the securities or insurance industries
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration preferred
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30 percent) required
