Overview

Are you a forward-thinking, self-motivated financial services recruiter with strong leadership skills? Our Field Development and Transition team is looking to add a director of field development to initiate and foster relationships with prospective Commonwealth advisors in our target market. In this highly visible position, you will embrace our firm’s Anything but Common® philosophy and steadfast dedication to providing indispensable service. Working alongside the field development leadership team, you will manage a small group of successful, driven, and fun individuals within the larger team. Our goal of 100 percent satisfaction for our advisors means everyone in our home office is driven to do whatever it takes to help them be their best every day.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing and supporting field development consultants to drive recruiting efforts
  • Applying a forward-thinking approach to developing new ways to recruit advisors from all firms
  • Partnering with SVP on business planning and sales funnel process
  • Sharing insights and knowledge gained across the recruiting team to enhance our efforts
  • Reaching out proactively to prospective Commonwealth advisors, providing them with information about the firm and evaluating them for fit
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with these well-suited prospects, ensuring that the Commonwealth name and reputation are top of mind when considering a new firm
  • Responding to inbound inquiries and requests for proposal
  • Coordinating and hosting advisor visits to our home office and traveling to prospective advisors’ offices
  • Working with existing advisors as they add advisors to their practices and assessing fit to their firm and Commonwealth
  • Representing our team in cross-departmental projects

Additional skills and knowledge

  • At least 7–10 years’ experience in the financial services recruiting industry, with direct RIA or broker/dealer recruiting experience or sales experience
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration preferred
  • Experience with CRM software
