We’re looking for a highly proactive, experienced content strategist who can work cross-functionally to create full-funnel content strategies for our core segments. If you are a thoughtful strategist at an overarching level who loves delivering at a granular level with the executional details and have a knack for aligning content strategy with business goals, then we need to connect.  


Together with the Content Strategy Director, the Content Strategist will act as a consultant across marketing in support of content creation, curation, distribution and evaluation. You will help lead the charge in aligning all project teams with the greater brand story and content strategy. You are passionate about telling the company story to external audiences, an expert at tackling both high-level vision and day-to-day tactics, and comfortable delving into data to inform best practices and sharing those insights with teams. 


Key responsibilities

  • Create content strategies that that factor in personas, content pillars, funnel phases, and other marketing components
  • Work closely with marketing teams, senior marketing leadership, and external SMEs to create the right messaging and content to support marketing and business goals
  • Partner with the director of editorial to develop content plans that spans multiple business units
  • Collaborate on content development and execution with the insights, editorial and design teams
  • Manage and audit department-wide content calendar to ensure execution is in line with strategy
  • Evaluate and act on content data and insights to drive optimization and goal achievement

  • Have a natural curiosity for new and developing industries
  • Strong in project management and systems
  • Deep knowledge in using data and insights to guide decision-making
  • Effective coach with a capacity to guide teams towards change
  • Financial industry knowledge a plus

Skills and knowledge

  • Expertise in verbal and written communication, including exceptional grasp of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage.
  • Experience working on and with cross-functional teams that include writers, designers, editors, and strategists.
  • Understanding of how content type selection impacts performance across channels and audiences
  • Proficient in content management systems, email marketing tools, and content scheduling and tracking platforms
  • Understanding of SEO and SEM best practices

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in content creation, execution and strategy with track record of success
  • Continuous learner who will keep pace with evolving trends
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
  • Experience managing client budgeting, forecasting, billing, and invoicing
  • Excellent time-management, organization and leadership skills, allowing you to thrive under pressure
  • You’ve led creative agency projects from conception to completion on time and within budget
