Are you an experienced, self-motivated financial services recruiter? Our successful, driven, and fun Field Development and Transition team is looking for a field development consultant to initiate and foster relationships with prospective Commonwealth advisors in our target market. In this highly visible position, you will embrace our firm’s uncommon philosophy and steadfast dedication to providing indispensable service. Our goal of 100 percent satisfaction for our advisors means everyone in our home office is driven to do whatever it takes to help them be their best every day.


Key responsibilities 

  • Reaching out to prospective Commonwealth advisors proactively, providing them with information about the firm, and evaluating for fit
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with these well-suited prospects; ensuring that the Commonwealth name and reputation are front of mind when considering a firm
  • Suggesting creative new ways for our team to improve its recruitment approaches
  • Responding to inbound inquiries and requests for proposal
  • Coordinating and hosting advisor visits to our home office and traveling to prospective advisors’ offices

Core strengths 

  • Self-starter who is motivated to fill pipeline with quality prospective advisors, with a focus on conversion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening and probing skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment

Additional skills and knowledge

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the financial services recruiting industry with direct broker/dealer and RIA recruiting experience or sales experience
  • Securities registration preferred
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time
