Do you have relevant experience working with UHNW families, an innovative and client service-oriented mindset, and relevant accounting and tax experience? Our innovative family office team is looking for an exceptional accounting professional who thrives on delivering indispensable service to UHNW clients.


Reporting to the head of finance and accounting for the family office, you will be responsible for book and tax accounting, financial and tax reporting, analysis, compliance, and bill pay and cash disbursements for individuals, trusts, investment partnerships, and private foundations.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintaining books and records for individuals, trusts, partnerships or LLCs, and private foundation
  • Ensuring timely and insightful financial and management reporting; private equity investment accounting and reporting
  • Managing external family office software provider services
  • Recommending and implementing policy, procedure, and internal control improvements
  • Supporting risk management and asset protection strategies; financial analysis as needed
  • Retaining tax books and records; overseeing tax matters (i.e., tax preparation, compliance, estimated tax payments)
  • Coordinating with external tax preparer for income tax returns and other filings (i.e., state income tax, LLC tax returns)
  • Assisting with estate and tax planning initiatives
  • Guiding weekly cash disbursement and bill pay processes, monitoring daily cash balances and related activities
  • Aiding operating companies and private foundations; administrative and operational support as needed

Core Strengths 

  • Excellent technical accounting and tax knowledge
  • Experience in tax compliance and preparation for individual, trust, and nonprofit tax matters
  • Strong work ethic; hands-on, proactive, and positive attitude
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail; passion for improving processes and efficiencies
  • Skilled at working independently and collaboratively
  • Exceptional communication skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities; can effectively execute in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion

Additional Skills and Knowledge 

  • 3-5 years of accounting and tax experience working with HNW individuals and related trusts, partnership accounting, and private equity accounting and reporting
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or tax, with CPA or advanced tax degree
  • Relevant experience in public accounting, law firm, trust company, or family office is required
