Are you passionate about user-centered design, interaction, and technology? As an experience designer, you will work with our cross-functional

Core Advisor Prospecting team as an interaction design expert. Expect to lead and participate in all stages of creating the best possible user experience for our

prospective advisors, including researching, journey mapping, and prototyping through interface design, user testing, analysis, and presentation of outcomes.


You will play a key role in the user experience and user interface creation for a variety of digital experiences designed to communicate with financial advisors

who are considering joining Commonwealth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding key business metrics and translating goals into effective user experiences
  • Working closely with campaign strategists and cross-functional Scrum teams to create the overall UX vision for the core prospect journey
  • Collaborating with team members to plan digital interactions that are strategic, innovative, intuitive, and deliver optimal user experiences for web and application design
  • Defining user research and testing activities, synthesizing results, and applying outcomes
  • Designing, prototyping, and refining user interfaces that support prospecting objectives
  • Implementing requirements successfully as part of a Scrum team of experience and visual designers, data analysts, and application developers
  • Developing and advocating for Commonwealth’s UX vision of the best approaches, methods, and results by sharing digital design trends and staying current on the industry

Core Strengths

  • Ability to speak engagingly about user-centered design, usability methodologies, human factors research, and industry standards and trends
  • Adept at solving problems using analytics and creativity
  • Ability to translate your UX research into intuitive experiences that achieve specific goals
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced Scrum team environment with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including listening, speaking, and writing with detail for a senior-level audience
  • Strategic, thoughtful, and passionate about your work

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years as a UX/UI or graphic designer; experience in financial services a plus
  • Experience using tools such as Photoshop, XD, Sketch, InVision, and Axure to create visual assets and high-fidelity interactive prototypes
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
