As manager of solution architecture and delivery, you will be responsible for the solution design, technical project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of projects. You will work to coordinate cross-functional teams and partner with key technical stakeholders in the design and implementation of solutions. In this role, you will be a member of our end-to-end application delivery team, Application Solutions, which comprises strategy, development, data, and testing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing application architecture by identifying functional objectives, performing technical analyses, and delivering solution design recommendations
  • Leading solution reviews and proposals with cross-functional product strategy and development teams
  • Coordinating and reviewing application solution proposals with the Enterprise Architecture Review Board
  • Performing data and application solution architecture roadmap alignment
  • Defining, developing, and managing technical implementation plans in coordination with product and project management
  • Coordinating technical resources to ensure effective completion of project milestones, controlling project scope, and mitigating risks
  • Acting as a subject-matter expert for shared initiatives across IT: Development, Data, Information Security, Infrastructure, HelpDesk, and more
  • Conducting research, discovery, design, and analysis to refactor and transform complex legacy application and system components
  • Identifying, managing, escalating, and alleviating technical debt
  • Managing vendor evaluations and POCs (e.g., CRM, MuleSoft), including technical oversight of project consultants
  • Performing technology innovation research (e.g., collaborative POCs, Azure PaaS, IaaS)
  • Developing process and standards with Application Solutions leadership

  • Experienced with project planning, progress monitoring, budget control, and milestone control
  • A creative problem solver with the ability to build contingency plans and handle complex situations
  • Flexible technical support with experience participating in change control processes
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • 10+ years architecting, developing, and delivering complex projects throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • BA or MS equivalency in computer science
  • Strong technical experience in Microservices, API development, MuleSoft, Cloud development (Azure), DevOps, and open source projects
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and architectural components
  • 4+1 diagramming proficiency
