Overview

Do you have a knack for customer service and a passion for financial services? Is your attention to detail superb? If so, we may have the perfect position for you in our Portfolio Reports and Data Services department.

 

The department supports and educates advisors and staff as they use our innovative software platform to view client portfolios, including balances, holdings, transaction activity, performance returns, and statements and confirms. The platform offers more than 60 reports, each of which can be run and directed on demand.

 

In this role, you will act as a lifeline for Commonwealth’s financial advisors as they use our tools, reports, and statements to service their clients. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the data powering these resources is complete and accurate; conducting research and resolving problems in collaboration with our technology provider, product sponsors, and other companies that collect and transmit client account data.

 

Through our extensive six-month training program, you will become proficient in navigating our three software suites and reports so that you can support our advisors and their staff. Our deep, hands-on training program is self-driven and powered by your curiosity and motivation.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for advisors and staff; providing education and support on the functionality of our software platform (i.e., phone queue, emails, and online inquiry submissions)
  • Using investigative and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data issues related to client account and sponsor company information, both proactively and in response to research requests
  • Recommending solutions for a wide variety of advisor reporting requirements—from practice-level portfolio analysis to helping advisors prepare for client meetings and presentations
  • Applying your deep technical knowledge to provide timely, complete, and accurate solutions in collaboration with other internal teams, including operational and technical fields
  • Upholding Commonwealth’s legacy of providing indispensable service—a level of service so satisfying our advisors would never want to be without us

Additional Skills and Knowledge 

  • Experience with other client account portfolio reporting systems a plus (e.g., Advent, dbCAMS, Albridge, and Centerpiece)
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration or similar license a plus
