Are you a proactive problem solver with exceptional customer service skills? Our HelpDesk Support team is looking for a professional with technical expertise to provide support to more than 900 employees and 2,000 advisors and their staff. We work in a fast-paced, on-your-toes environment, so a positive, can-do attitude is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing first-level technical support on a wide range of issues and products to Commonwealth employees, advisors, and their staff
  • Prioritizing and processing HelpDesk requests
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues

Core Strengths

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Capable of accurately and effectively troubleshooting and solving technical problems
  • Outstanding communication skills (e.g., phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-up skills)
  • Experience troubleshooting basic-to-advanced Windows 10/11 OS and browser issues
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite 2016, 2019, and Office 365 functionality and troubleshooting techniques for basic connectivity issues
  • Experience with advanced Microsoft Outlook functionality and associated protocols for connecting to Microsoft Exchange
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, and domain environments
  • Mobile device support experience (e.g., iOS, Android)
  • Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues, including network devices such as printers and scanners

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience working in a technical support role
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft MD-100, or equivalent technical certification preferred
  • Experience with networking hardware and software, such as firewalls, routers, switches, VoIP, and VPN, a plus
  • Mac experience a plus (e.g., MacOS Big Sur and Monterey)
  • Tech services or campus helpdesk experience a plus

Please note: This is a full-time opportunity, working 8:30 am - 5:00 pm ET with a 30-minute lunch break.
