Overview

Operations Priority is a one-of-a-kind department. Our top priority is to help Commonwealth’s Operations teams meet and exceed their own high standards. We do this by seamlessly moving between operations departments whenever there is a volume spike or staffing shortage—sometimes on a daily basis. As you might imagine, our team members need to be quick learners. Versatility is a must.

As an operations priority specialist, you will increase your own visibility within the firm while building a well-rounded background in financial services operations. With this knowledge and understanding, you’ll be able to provide constructive ideas for process improvements and consult on projects and initiatives around the firm.

With that said, we are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to join our bicoastal team to help us succeed in consistently providing indispensable service to our advisors, field staff, and coworkers. The unique nature of this not only provides us with flexible schedules to aid in work/life balance, but it offers a variety of work to take us away from the daily grind.

Key responsibilities

  • Learning the daily processes of and maintaining positive relationships with our New Accounts, Cashiering, General Investigations, Transition, and Retirement Operations teams
  • Rotating in and out of departments, depending on the current business needs of each area
  • Supporting projects related to these areas of business as needed
  • Working in different environments and building relationships with the departments we support

Core strengths

  • Able to change gears quickly
  • A drive to gain operations knowledge and visibility to help advance your career
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mentality
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized; able to handle multiple tasks, retain information, and use available resources to find the right answer
  • Proven ability to solve problems and think creatively
  • Team player

Additional Skills & Knowledge

  • 1–2 years of experience in the brokerage industry
  • Project experience; ability to write procedures a plus
