We’re looking for a social media specialist to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll support our Mgr., Social Media Strategy in efforts to scale Commonwealth’s online presence. From interdepartmental collaborations to campaigns, content management, and creative ideation, you’ll help drive best-in-class social practices and ensure details are in place.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day organic social media efforts across key platforms including scheduling, posting, and QA
  • Assisting in content management; working closely with social strategist and project manager to support a fast-paced, high volume creative team
  • Facilitating broader and deeper brand-to-audience relationships through community management and outreach
  • Assisting in recurring and campaign-specific reporting, performance monitoring, and other ad hoc needs
  • Managing relationships including, but not limited to, owning cross-team communications for content calendars and facilitating optimized SME social media relationships in tandem with Compliance with confidence
  • Actively participating in creative efforts ranging from monthly content calendars to campaigns (organic and paid)

  • Solution-oriented; You can pinpoint a problem or inefficiency to get ahead of it or begin thinking through qualitative or quantitative approaches to potential solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of the work you do and see it through from conception to execution
  • Highly collaborative and solution-oriented
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a high-volume setting
  • Innately positive and want to have fun at work while being a productive, active contributor to the team
  • Comfortable working with all levels of individuals (leadership, SMEs, creative teams) across the organization
  • Continuous learner who is interested and resourceful, and likes to stay at the forefront of ever-evolving social channels, trends, and best practices
  • Analytical with the ability to look at and digest data, combined with a marketing intuition and the ability to identify relevant and interesting social trends.

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications
  • 3-5 years of social media experience; finance and/or regulated industries experience a plus.
  • Excellent and efficient skills using Microsoft 365 suite
  • Deep, thorough knowledge of key social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, et al.
  • Experience using paid media across various social channels
  • Experience working with CMS tools like Sprout and HubSpot
