We’re looking for a business development consultant to join our ranks. Are you an experienced, self-motivated financial services recruiter? Our successful, driven, and fun Business Development team is looking for someone who can initiate and foster relationships with prospective Commonwealth advisors in our target market. In this highly visible position, you’ll embrace our firm’s philosophy and dedication to providing indispensable service. Our goal of 100 percent satisfaction for our advisors means everyone in our home office is driven to do whatever it takes to help them be their best every day.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to inbound inquiries and requests for proposals and connecting with leads
  • Building out your region with leads, prospective advisors, existing advisors, and centers of influence, and proactively communicating to develop a strong network
  • Providing leads and prospective advisors with information about the firm, and driving the process forward from your first interaction while evaluating the relationship for fit
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with well-suited prospects and existing advisors, and ensuring that Commonwealth is front of mind when they are considering a firm
  • Working with subject-matter experts across the firm to demonstrate how advisors can grow by leveraging our platform and people
  • Coordinating and hosting advisor home office visits, and traveling to prospective advisors’ offices
  • Collaborating with the Transition team for smooth and seamless transition experiences
  • Suggesting creative new ways to improve recruitment approaches and sharing industry knowledge across the team

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Motivated self-starter who can bring in quality prospective advisors, build strong prospect relationships, and focus on conversion
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Excellent listener and analytical thinker
  • Proven time management and organizational abilities
  • Works well in a team environment
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry with direct broker/dealer and RIA recruiting experience
  • Securities registration preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time
