We’re looking for a research consultant to join our ranks. In this role, you will focus primarily on advisor support functions, including proposal generation, Morningstar Advisor Workstation support, advisory platform support, and projects to help advisors increase efficiency. With time, you will have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities within the team, working directly with our advisors to promote their business development further. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responding to inquiries from advisors on investment topics and products
  • Assisting with creating proposals, manager research, creating models, and performing other tasks related to advisory account maintenance 
  • Providing assistance and training on Commonwealth’s research tools and services
  • Collaborating with other Wealth Management departments (including research, advanced planning, retirement consulting, and annuities) on various projects and initiatives
  • Assisting advisors with portfolio construction and analysis for both existing clients and new business opportunities

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in delivering indispensable service to our advisors  
  • An understanding of (or willingness to learn about) the broad spectrum of investment-related products and services, including advisory platforms, asset allocation, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and separate accounts
  • Creative problem solving and desire to improve current processes
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ financial services experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power BI) 
  • Familiarity with Morningstar® Advisor WorkstationSM, or other research software

Licenses and Certifications

  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration preferred or ChFC® (or willing to work towards)
