On a day-to-day basis, our Compliance department works with home office staff and advisors to ensure that all parties adhere to the state and federal rules and regulations governing the securities industry. Within Compliance, our Advertising Review team is responsible for reviewing all client-facing materials written by our employees, advisors, and third-party sources to ensure that all information is fair and accurate.
As a compliance advisor, you will put your FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities registrations and customer service skills to good use as you review advertising submissions from our advisors. We’re looking for a cloud security engineer to join our ranks. As a cloud security engineer on the Security Architecture & Engineering team, you will be responsible for securing cloud workloads by implementing security controls that reduce threat surface, ensuring compliance, and responding to security incidents to protect an organization's cloud-based systems and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy various security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls to protect data and resources in the cloud
- Ensure that the cloud architectures are designed with recommended security practices and standards following the principles of Cloud Adoption Framework. Working closely with application, network, and security teams to ensure that requirements are reflected appropriately in cloud architecture and design patterns
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with cloud services while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as NIST-CSF, ISO2700x and other compliance requirements
- Developing, implementing, and testing procedures for data backup and recovery as well as disaster recovery
- Measure cloud security posture against assigned polices are monitored continuously, implement security controls aimed at improving the score and manage any configuration drifts that deviates from desired security measures

- Act as a subject matter expert in Cloud Security area by organizing awareness sessions and training on a regular basis; educate and mentor product teams and junior engineers
- Work closely with other IT professionals, such as network engineers, system administrators, and developers to integrate security practices into all aspects of the cloud infrastructure
- Provide escalation-level support for the IT organization and the corporate HelpDesk; troubleshoot issues identified during the delivery of new or existing systems and resolving them in a timely manner
- Participate in several business projects to design, implement, and test security controls against functional workloads

- 5+ years’ experience in a security engineering role protecting cloud workloads, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models

We’re looking for an advisory consultant for the RIA Services department to join our ranks. Your focus will be on supporting advisors who are interested in, or fully established under, our hybrid, corporate RIA, and independent RIA affiliation models. Key Responsibilities
- Taking a consultative role by managing key and assigned fee-only practices
- Building relationships with our financial advisors and their staff by consistently providing the highest level of customer service. This includes serving as the first point-of-contact by answering incoming phone calls to strategically identify and resolve critical client issues and inquiries
- Educating callers on a broad range of operational topics
- Staying abreast of new resources, products, and procedures, as well as industry news and regulations affecting fee-only practices
- Collaborating with various internal teams to research and resolve issues
- Assisting other RIA Services team members in the process of moving practices into a fee-only affiliation
- Familiarity with RIA Custody technology, including CRM, portfolio accounting, trading, and fee billing software.
- Experience with RIA Custody and BD Clearing platforms

As an IAM security engineer, you will be a key member of the Information Security Engineering team. - Cost Management and Optimization: Implement cost management and optimization practices to monitor, analyze, and control Azure spending. Identify opportunities for cost savings through resource consolidation, rightsizing, and reserved instances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and reliable cloud solutions by building out hybrid Cloud environments and leading large migrations.

We’re seeking a manager, investment product due diligence, to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll demonstrate a unique blend of skills and attributes to effectively navigate the complexities of designing and implementing programs while mitigating potential risks. In sum, you will develop and manage the governance structure for the investment product review program. You’ll also work in partnership with business units to implement appropriate risk controls, assist in the coordination and resolution of due diligence activities, and continuously drive a strong culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in evaluating and analyzing investment products to ensure they meet Commonwealth’s rigorous standards for quality, suitability, and risk management.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and support to the firm’s business units regarding investment products and services and internal processes to ensure they are implemented in accordance with regulatory requirements and the expectations of senior management.
- Establish and maintain processes across product lifecycle to proactively identify and assess risks and coordinate with various departments to address those risks in accordance with the company's risk appetite as part of the due diligence and onboarding process.
- Oversee and implement change management processes covering both internal changes (e.g., new or modified products/services) and external changes (e.g., changes to law or regulation) that relate to new products, product onboarding, and due diligence processes.
- Ensure compliance-related issues are appropriately addressed by collaborating with management to develop solutions in enhancing and implementing the compliance oversight and control framework.
- Advise on the creation and assessment of policies, procedures, and operational compliance controls.
- Manage the administration of the committee that reviews and approves new product offerings.
- Assist with general projects related to securities products.
Core Strengths and Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in investment product management
- Knowledge of the BD and IA landscape, financial markets, and investment products, including complex products (e.g., non-traded products, leveraged and inverse ETFs, asset-backed securities, and variable annuities).
- A self-starter with a strong attention to detail, team-oriented approach, organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing multiple large projects and competing priorities.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management by working closely with our business due diligence and product origination teams, as well as other teams within the organization (e.g., Operations, Compliance, Account Supervision, etc.).

The Advanced Planning department provides educational and consultative financial planning strategies to our more than 2,000 independent financial advisors. Dedicated to helping their clients achieve their wealth management goals, our advisors lean on us to help them understand complex issues. Research plays a large part in the daily support we provide. As a virtual paraplanner, you will work closely with our network of financial advisors to create and assist in the delivery of financial plans. You will be primarily responsible for providing financial planning support through assisting with plan creation, analysis, and recommendation. Acute attention to detail is a must, as are effective communication skills.
We are a small group, with just 10 people on our bicoastal team. Given our consultative nature, we’re known for supporting one another, advisors, and colleagues to get our goals accomplished.
Key Accountabilities
- Attending discovery, partnership development, and other virtual meetings as requested
- Conducting data gathering calls and virtual meetings with advisors and/or clients to obtain information required to develop or update the financial plan
- Assisting with developing, implementing, and updating financial plans using planning software provided by the firm
- Working collaboratively with advisors to put finishing touches on the plans and assist in client delivery as needed
- Using appropriate software and calculators to run calculations, projections, and side-by-side comparisons (e.g., mortgages, 529 plans, and social security)
- Communicating with advanced planning consultants and other allied professionals, as needed.
- Collaborating with RightCapital for troubleshooting on plans, if needed
- Analyzing clients’ income, taxes, insurance policies, expenses, assets, and debt (at least annually), updating this information in CRM and planning software
- Uploading clients’ estate planning documents, tax returns, insurance policies, investment account statements, household balance sheets, and all other relevant documentation to their household in Investor360°
- Gathering insurance quotes as needed, working alongside Ash Brokerage
- Reading trade journals, publications, the Commonwealth Business Review, and articles featuring the industry
- Reviewing clients’ goals and risk profile with the advisor
- Coaching advisors to quarterback the client relationship with clients, other professionals (e.g., an attorney or CPA), as well as helping advisors focus on the strategic big picture while walking them through planning issues
- Reviewing clients’ planning objectives to help identify opportunities to meet their needs
Core Strengths and Skills
- Familiarity with plan creation using financial planning software (experience with RightCapital planning software a strong plus)
- Excellent knowledge and communication of financial planning concepts and terminology
- Basic knowledge of and ability to explain products, such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, insurance, and annuities
- Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Ability to proofread and quality check own work in accordance with firm/regulatory criteria
- Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
- Demonstrated experience in using available resources to answer questions and resolve problems
- Ability to learn and efficiently use multiple technology platforms

The enterprise consulting team leads complex engagements on topics such as transforming business and organizational structures, achieving scale, expanding ownership, creating development pathways, and financial management mastery. They must be able to blend business and finance acumen with the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively work in a client-facing role.

- Deliver consultations with multi-advisor firms to help them determine the best business model to achieve their long-term goals, helping them drive growth, build scale, and create an enduring legacy
- Engage with Commonwealth’s largest and most complex enterprise clients, addressing a broad range of factors related to organizational structure, leadership roles, infrastructure, financial management, and compensation systems
- Support ensemble transformation to equity-based ownership structures by creating pro forma financial models, mapping compensation systems, determining partnership criteria, and designing frameworks to add and exit partners
