The Advanced Planning department provides educational and consultative financial planning strategies to our more than 2,000 independent financial advisors. This role will serve as a technical resource for wealth management strategies including estate, tax, and charitable planning; social security strategies; education savings; executive compensation; business succession; and retirement income planning.   We are a bicoastal team of sixteen people.  Given our consultative nature, we’re known for supporting one another, advisors, and colleagues to accomplish our goals. If your passion for consulting, research, and service runs deep, consider joining our team.   Key Responsibilities - Reviewing estate planning documents to address questions from financial advisors - Identifying potential issues on a variety of wealth management projects (e.g., helping advisors review client estate planning objectives, executive compensation plans, wills, trusts, stock options, or business succession planning) - Reviewing client’ planning objectives in order to help identify opportunities to meet their needs - Coaching advisors to quarterback relationships with clients, other professionals (e.g., an attorney or CPA), helping advisors focus on the strategic big picture, and walking them through any planning issues Core Strengths and Skills - Ability to research issues and confidently help advisors think through clients planning strategies - Aptitude to manage projects moving in different directions and to embrace a broad spectrum of disciplines on a daily basis - Comfortable writing communication and strategy articles, developing client presentation pieces, and participating in public speaking Additional Skills and Knowledge - JD or CFP®required - Estate planning background or prior experience in financial services preferred Have we piqued your curiosity? On top of all that, the Virtual Administration department offers a hybrid work schedule, so you’ll be able to work from home for part of the week!   We’re looking for a new class of virtual administration specialists to join our next training program, which begins in June 2024. Commonwealth’s Virtual Administration team is a group of focused, highly organized, and service-minded problem solvers who work directly with our independent financial advisors, acting in the capacity of a member of the advisor’s office staff. Our team provides middle office support functions, such as document preparation and submission, account opening and updating, CRM management, meeting preparation, money movement requests, and client support. Our new team members will receive two months of training before working with their first office.    Key Responsibilities - Working as a virtual member and operational point of contact for advisors’ offices and providing task ownership, support, and coordination with other Commonwealth departments - Collaborating with various internal operational teams across the firm to research and resolve complex issues - Managing client data in Commonwealth’s CRM platform to create and distribute reports, prepare for client meetings and calls, and create procedure workflows - Submitting money movement requests and working with partner departments to resolve issues - Monitoring alerts and advisor action items and proactively collaborating on responses to time-sensitive requests - Building relationships by consistently providing the highest level of customer service Core Strengths and Skills - Comfortable adapting to a variety of environments, and able to cultivate lasting relationships with advisors - Superior problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to task execution - Strong written communication skills and ability to take detailed and accurate notes - Strong active listening skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely - Ability to learn, understand, and apply new information quickly - Highly refined time management and organizational skills, with the aptitude to use multiple systems - Ability to thrive on a highly collaborative team - At least two years of experience working in a financial advisory firm preferred; other relevant experience considered - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with knowledge of CRM applications Have we piqued your curiosity? Our successful, driven, and fun Business Development team is looking to bring on a business development associate consultant to help us initiate and foster relationships with prospective financial advisors in our target market. You will work with business development consultants and team members in other departments to support home office visits, reach out to leads, and onboard new advisors with our signature indispensable service. Are you an experienced security engineer with strong knowledge and technical expertise? As a Commonwealth email and data security engineer, you will be a key member of the Information Security Engineering team. You will use your strong understanding of email systems, data and communication security solutions, and design processes to enable and deliver resilient email and data security services. You will work collaboratively with the Information Security teams to ensure that solutions and services are designed and adopted effectively. A key responsibility of this role will be performing maintenance and support functions for the company’s email and data security systems. This role will allow us to create a more reliable and secure environment. This is a new position within a growing team that’s transforming the way we work.   Key Responsibilities     Email Security: - Email Security Technology Design: Designing and implementing secure email architectures, including the selection and configuration of email gateways, filtering systems, and encryption technologies - Anti-Phishing Measures: Implementing anti-phishing solutions to detect and prevent phishing attacks - Spam and Malware Protection: Configuring and managing spam filters and antivirus solutions - Encryption and Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Deploying encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive information within emails and implementing DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized disclosure of CFN confidential data - Authentication Protocols: Configuring and enforcing email authentication protocols such as SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) - Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response plans to quickly identify and mitigate email security incidents, including the investigation of security breaches and the recovery of compromised accounts. Your strategies and plans will resonate with our existing customers and spur them to take action. If you are a thoughtful strategist who can work cross-functionally without missing details, this might be the role for you!   Reporting to the director of content strategy, or designee, you will support content creation, curation, distribution, and evaluation of corporate and product content to existing customers across various communication channels and content platforms. The right candidate is passionate about telling the company and product stories, is an expert at tackling both the high-level vision and day-to-day tactics, and comfortable delving into data to inform continuous content improvement.   Key Responsibilities - Assist in Crafting Content Strategies: - Collaborating with content strategists to develop content strategies that consider personas, content pillars, and various marketing components - Participating in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to provide insights and ideas for effective content planning - Team Collaboration and Messaging Development: - Working closely with marketing teams and senior marketing leadership to understand and contribute to the creation of messaging that aligns with marketing and business goals - Assisting in coordinating with external subject-matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and insights for content creation - Content Planning and Coordination: - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development of content plans spanning multiple business units - Assisting in coordinating efforts with various departments, ensuring alignment with overarching content strategies - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Working with creative teams to contribute to content development and execution - Assisting in integrating insights and feedback from cross-functional teams to enhance the quality and impact of content - Content Calendar Management: - Supporting in managing and auditing the content calendar to ensure that content execution aligns with the established content strategy - Collaborating with team members to ensure deadlines are met and content is published according to the schedule - Content Optimization and Analysis: - Assisting in the evaluation of content data and insights to contribute to the optimization of content strategies - Collaborating with senior team members to act on insights, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and goal achievement  Core Strengths and Skills - Passionate about storytelling, challenging existing ways of thinking, and execution - Generates innovative and engaging content ideas with flair - Successfully managing and balancing multiple projects and partners at once - Ensures precision, maintains accuracy in content creation and execution - Strong in project management and systems - Deep knowledge of using data and insights to guide decision-making - Has a natural curiosity for new and developing industries; Financial industry knowledge a plus - Expertise in verbal and written communication, including exceptional grasp of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage - Experience working on and with cross-functional teams that include writers, designers, editors, and strategists - Understanding of how content type selection impacts performance across channels and audiences - Proficient in content management systems, email marketing tools, and content scheduling and tracking platforms - Understanding of SEO and SEM best practices Required Qualifications - Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English, or related field - 1+ years of experience in content creation, execution, and strategy with track record of success - Continuous learner who will keep pace with evolving trends - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) - Excellent time-management, organization, and leadership skills; thrives under pressure.
